Recruiting: Georgia lands 4-star RB Tovani Mizell
The Bulldogs pick up their third commitment for the class of 2024
Georgia got great news on Monday as 2024 four-star running back Tovani Mizell committed.
He chose the Bulldogs over several Power 5 programs, including Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M. He also had offers from Florida, Penn State, Michigan State, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Coastal Carolina and Florida Atlantic, among others.

The “Boogeyman” is rated the nation’s No. 107 overall prospect and No. 5 running back in the class of 2024. He is also the state of Maryland’s No. 4 overall player, per the 247Sports Composite.
Mizell enters his junior year playing for DeMatha Catholic. He spent last season at Cardinal Newman in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. As a sophomore, Mizell totaled 616 yards on 100 attempts with eight touchdowns. He also caught 34 passes for 481 yards and six scores. He played his freshman season at Stranahan, which is also located in Ft. Lauderdale.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound running back is very versatile and can catch passes out of the backfield. He’s quick on his feet and is very dangerous both between the tackles and on the edge.
Mizell joins Colquitt County’s duo in four-star wide receiver Ny Carr and five-star tight end Landen Thomas as Georgia’s two other commitments in its class of 2024 recruiting haul.
