MBB: Tshiebwe records a double-double as Wildcats topple Georgia, 85-71

After picking up its first road win of the season over Ole Miss on Saturday, Georgia (13-5, 3-2 SEC) faced Kentucky (12-6, 3-3 SEC) in Rupp Arena on Tuesday night for a 9 p.m. tip-off.
However, the Bulldogs’ trip to Lexington didn’t go as planned as Wildcats’ forward Oscar Tshiebwe scored a career-high 37 points and grabbed 24 rebounds in an 85-71 victory.
Georgia head coach Mike White gave credit to Tshiebwe, who is the reigning SEC Player of the Year.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been a part of something like this. Thirty-seven and 24, 11 offensive rebounds, drew 12 fouls, and shot 12-of-20 with three steals. Credit him, his motor, his toughness and his physicality,” White said. “He played well. We didn’t match it at all.”
