MBB: Bridges records double-double as Georgia dominates Hampton

ATHENS — Georgia senior Braelen Bridges recorded a double-double on Wednesday night as the Bulldogs defeated Hampton 73-54 in dominating fashion at Stegeman Coliseum.
Bridges scored a team-high 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds against the Pirates. The senior also recorded one steal, block and assist on Wednesday. Bridges shot 9-of-13 from the field and 100 percent from the free-throw line in 25 minutes of action.
"Obviously, I had it going tonight,” Bridges explained after the game. “My teammates just kept finding me. That's something we work on in practice, duck-ins and me creating lanes for them to get to the rim also. It’s just something that coach preached to us.”
Georgia dominated Hampton from the start, outscoring the Pirates 22-11 in the opening 10 minutes. The Bulldogs went on to lead Hampton by double-digits at the end of the first half. They shot 48.1 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from the 3-point line. Their 41-26 halftime lead was indicative of the ability to shoot from beyond the arc.
