Georgia Football Practice Report: Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022

ATHENS — Georgia held its sixth practice of fall camp on Tuesday. The media got approximately 20 minutes to view periods three through five during the first practice with full pads.
Below are some observations:
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart wasn’t as lively on the microphone as he has been in days past. He was actually rather calm and got on to players, but not in the same manner.
The first and second-team offensive lines were the same as Thursday and Sunday.
The first team was left tackle Broderick Jones, left guard Devin Willock, center Sedrick Van Pran, right guard Tate Ratledge, and left tackle, Warren McClendon. The second team offensive line was left tackle Earnest Greene, left guard Xavier Truss, center Warren Ericson, right guard Dylan Fairchild, and right tackle Amarius Mims.
As far as the running backs go, Kendall Milton and Kenny McIntosh were No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.
They were followed by Daijun Edwards, Branson Robinson, and Andrew Paul. The two freshmen backs rotated during seven-on-seven drills in period five. Both caught passes out of the backfield and in traffic.
During period five, sophomore wide receiver AD Mitchell hauled in a long pass from super senior quarterback Stetson Bennett. Mitchell caught the pass in the end zone and was guarded. He had beaten senior safety Chris Smith by just a yard.
During period five, Smart praised freshman wideout Dillon Bell. “Good effort, Dillon Bell. Nice catch.” Bell made an athletic grab across the middle of the field.
Wide receiver Arian Smith also hauled in a long pass on fly patter from quarterback Carson Beck. The ball was put on a dime and Smith caught it easily in stride.
