Georgia Football Practice Report (Aug. 8, 2023): Bulldogs hit field in full pads for first time during fall camp

Georgia hit the field on Tuesday, Aug. 8, for its sixth practice of its 2023 fall camp. The Bulldogs were in full pads for the first time this fall on Tuesday and were getting after it.
The media was allowed to see viewing Periods 3-5, which was approximately 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the UGA Athletics Department didn’t allow photos or videos on Tuesday.
Below are some notes from the Bulldogs’ practice that DawgWatch observed:
We didn’t see running back Kendall Milton (groin) or cornerback Kamari Lassiter (foot) at practice, but they could have very easily been working out to the side with trainers. Radi Nabulsi first reported Milton’s most recent injury on Monday, and Graham Coffey broke the news of Lassiter’s foot injury earlier on Tuesday.
There were also several players working off to the side including, defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, cornerback Chris Peal, wide receiver RaRa Thomas, inside linebacker Smael Mondon and safety Dan Jackson. All are currently injured.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart was hot on the microphone as he usually is, but today he was more lively than last week when the media got to see practice. We heard him yelling loudly about being conditioned and getting used to practicing in the heat.
The eighth-year head coach shouted at freshman Jamaal Jarrett for walking on the practice field. We heard Smart yelling at the defensive lineman several different times. However, also shouted at several other players, including Brock Bowers.
Funny enough, comedian and Georgia football fan Jeff Foxworthy attended practice today. He was off to the side with Athletic Director Josh Brooks when we saw him.
