ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia football program announced earlier this week that its annual G-Day scrimmage will be held on Saturday, April 16, and spring practice will begin on Tuesday, March 15.
As of Thursday afternoon, there has been official kickoff time or TV details, although the scrimmage is expected to be featured on either ESPN or the SEC Network.
According to the schedule released by the university, the Bulldogs will practice 15 times before the scrimmage. They will hold practices on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Georgia finished its 2021 season with a 14-1 overall record and won the College Football Playoff national championship. It was the first title for the program in 41 years.
The Bulldogs defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide, 33-18, on Jan. 10 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Georgia is scheduled to open its 2022 season on Saturday, Sept. 3 in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff against the Oregon Ducks at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The Bulldogs’ first game at Sanford Stadium is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10 against Samford.
