Diamond Dogs bounce back, defeat Gamecocks, 10-3

ATHENS — After dropping the season opener on Friday, Georgia baseball bounced back in a huge way on Saturday with a 10-3 win over Jacksonville State to even up the series.
The Bulldogs (1-1) scored 10 unanswered runs after falling behind 3-0 early on in the game. The Gamecocks’ only three runs came in the top of the third inning with two outs.
Carson Crowe hit a three-run blast over the right-field fence to put Jacksonville State up 3-0. However, Georgia responded in the bottom half of the third inning in a big way.
“You’re down three to nothing and just don’t really have any momentum, and then Parks Harber ties it up with one swing of the bat and hits an opposite-field home run into the wind,” Georgia head coach Scott Stricklin said after the game. “That kind of got us going and then we were able to put some at-bats together and made some plays.”
