Anderson, strong pitching effort helps Bulldogs crush Wofford

ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia graduate outfielder Ben Anderson is on a tear at the plate to start off the 2022 season.
He hit a solo shot to lead things off for the Bulldogs in the season opener on Friday.
Anderson also went 4-for-4 against Wofford on Tuesday to help No. 16 Georgia come away with a 7-1 victory. After struggling at the plate last season, he has a .400 batting average after his performance against the Terriers.
The Bulldogs’ seven runs came off nine hits, as Anderson was one triple short of hitting for the cycle. Five other players totaled one hit, including Corey Collins’ clutch two-run home run in the bottom half of the seventh inning with two outs.
